I must say, I am appalled by the efforts to remove statues of people from a time >150 years ago. Most of these numbnuts seem to have little knowledge of history, especially of the Civil War, which was a very complex as well as bloody war (indeed the bloodiest war we ever fought as a percentage of our population).
I do not think much of Robt E. Lee. I think he's an over rated general and I can't really excuse him for going against the oath he swore to uphold the constitution. Yet I am totally against his statue being taken down. That's what ISIS does. That's what the Soviets did. Yet ever day we seem to get closer to them.
