    Safes Empty Safes

Post by Devereaux Sat May 31, 2014 4:02 pm

I bought my safe a LOT of years ago. At the time I bought it because it was large, had a massive door with a large steel rim so you really couldn't pry it open, was fire-proof for a while, and was HEAVY. It was made by a company in Utah that didn't advertise here in the midwest. I had to have a safe-moving company to get it into the house as the local moving company wouldn't touch that much weight.

I may be moving sometime in the not too distant future. I am NOT removing this safe from this house. Whoever buys it owns a neat gun safe.

?So does anyone have any experience with serious upper end safes. I know FT. Knox, but consider them the best of the mid-levels.

Let me know what you know.

Basic info from the NRA. Probably too basic.

Costco has a national deal with Cannon Safes.

Yup. A touch too basic. I know most of that stuff.

What I would love to have is names of high end safes. Mine is from National Security I think. Trouble is, it only comes so big, and I long ago outgrew it.
