Walked into a local gun shop a couple weeks back and noticed they had some new (used) guns on the shelf. Down on the floor they had an Israeli m1919 (in .308) with a hand crank... Oh geez... I shouldn't have walked into that shop on that day. I guess the shop had bought all the guns at an estate sale and this was one of them. I asked if they would do a layaway for me, they said sure--so I put down a bunch a money and reserved it. Now I just need to put all my spending money towards that gun for the next month or two... Hand crank m1919? sure! why not?

It's a Browning model 1919 machine gun, but converted to semiauto... and has a hand crank to pull the trigger faster.

Ha! May well be worth the cash. ?Does it come with a headspace gauge. You’ll need that to put the barrel back on correctly.

Re: m1919... hand crank...
Wellll..,.. the cost was $600. +3& for cc use. + $30 for shipping. +$30 for the transfer fee, firearm check, etc. Soooo, altogether it willl come out as $678. I saw one in my LGS for $675, but then there’s Cook County VIolence tax ($50) plus Cook County sales tax (10%), so even if I had gotten it for the same price, and I don’t think the guy would have come down to $600, it would have cost me $710 OTD.. Nice clean gun, though, and 3 mags. One I got was through GunBroker. Looked clean in the pics. We’ll see in a couple days when it gets here. Always wanted a 220.

?Did I mention I bought a P229 railed for $475 from SigTalk. It’s a CPO, so in a red cardboard box, but it looks like it’s never been fired. NO rail marks whatsoever. Just means I’ll have to buy a new .357 Sig barrel as my other one fits OLD 229’s (tapered locking blocks at back of barrel) while the new takes 229-1 barrels (square block). Still a nice guy at a good price. That included the shipping.
