Not sure if there are any other Utah shooters here on the forums, but Gunnies over purchased and is running a sale on the M&P shields. $370 plus tax... Dang good price.

Re: M&P shield
Yes indeedy! I paid $500 out the door for mine. But at the time it was a hot item and not to be found almost anywhere.
I expect over this coming year we will be finding more "deals" out there. I think manufacturing is finally catching up with demand. Guns will become available at last.
Can't wait to find .22 available - if only so all the whiners will stop.

BTW, if you bought a Shield, you might go look at 10-8. They have a rear sight for the Shield that costs something like $55 with shipping. I got the 0.156 rear notch (the larger one). I really like it. I consider it much better than the stock one. But you have to use some muscle to get the old one out. And possibly a safe file to fit the new one. Mine only took a couple swipes.

Is it a blacked out rear notch?

Yes. No annoying dots. But you keep the front sight, so you still have that dot to look at. As it should be.
