Spent some quality time behind the trigger of a Springfield 1903A3. Schwueeeeeeet. It's heavy enough to soak up the mil-surp .30-'06, fast and accurate, with that unmistakeable WWII vibe. Best of all was the trigger: a long take-up, fitting for a military weapon, with a 2-3 pound glass rod at the end. It's now #1 on my Must Have list.

I'll request my friends here keep their eyes out for a nice, accurate shooter, not a collectable.

    TIA

My sense is that ALL 1903's are collectable - just because there doesn't seem to be so many of them anymore. Kind of like the Garand.

No pix - well, one poor one. We had a pretty much constant rain, drizzle, sleet and/or snow. Camera and phone stayed in the car.

And I was having too much fun shooting. Wink

Yeah, hard to take pictures when you are shooting--and having a great time.
