Yeah, I got <redacted>. I'm pretty sure I'm good for life.

Until I build another AR. Or Magpul releases their 60 rounder, or....

?You ever consider how much weight a 60 rnd mag would be. Not to mention the problem of proper spring tension, etc. It isn't for nothing that machine guns use belted ammo.

Yep - that's why I only want one. It'll be targeted for my duty carbine, for some SHTF scenarios. Many of those scenarios could be "run whatcha brung". So, 60 rounds on tap, where a reload could be problematical, makes me feel all warm and fuzzy. I guess I'm a Marine at heart: "Overwhelming firepower -- is just about right." Plus, it's just cool.

Magpul's drum/ box design is very interesting - and I'm sure they'll do it right.

No one's done it right so far. Back-to-back's are the common ones, and they were generally 20-rounders.

?Wonder what it would take to adapt an AR to belt-feed.

Yeah -- back to backs are a pretty good solution. I'll admit, I'd forgotten about those. I'll fix that asap.

There are belt-fed AR adaptations. They just don't look practical for a semi-auto AR platform

Well, I remember the original Stoner could be configured for belt-feed. Just not sure the AR can (anymore). But it would be kool.
