CA State Senator Leland Yee Arrested on Bribery And Corruption Charges

This morning, State Senator Leland Yee, one of Calfifornia's most liberal and virulent anti-gun legislators, was arrested on bribery and corruption charges by the FBI. NBC Frisco News

It is alleged that Yee was working directly with drug gangs. The selfsame gangs responsible for the vast majority of the state's murders.  If so, given Yee's stance on gun crimes, this is hypocrisy writ large. It may explain why he was so eager to take firearms away from the citizens: to make things easier for his constituents.

As The Tamara said; "If schadenfreude had calories, I'd weigh 300 pounds."


[Update] Also arrested: gangster Ray "Shrimp Boy" Chow, who was once sentenced to 25 years in prison on gun charges. SFGate  It is left to the reader to question how he got out of prison so soon. Approximately 30 others were also arrested in the massive sweep.

The affidavit charges that the $2 million worth of weapons to have been secreted into the country from the Philippines included rocket launchers and machine guns, some of which Yee himself had fired while on Mindanao. You've hit the nail on the head, son. THIS is why there should be no restriction on citizen ownership of weapons. Back when the nation was created, citizens owned ALL the means of warfare - including what was "high tech" - cannons.

Meanwhile there is some bogus study from the LA shooting of the TSA that recommends that the TSA be armed! Really! ONE shooting and they want to arm the TSA. But WE CIVILIANS are to be DISarmed - and especially in the very airport where the shooting occurred. This is high dungeon by the government!

Yee got busted because he's greedy, rough, and overreaching. Most importantly, he was trying to set up his own scheme in competition with the Progressive one. Yee didn't follow the lead of the anointed, even though their aims were largely the same: disarm the populace, consolidate power at the point of their guns, then extract their cut from the body of society. However, Lee varied from the script, and variation will not be tolerated. Hence, the FBI was unleashed.

Why do we need the 2nd Amendment?  Leland Yee -- and Kevin deLeon, Micheal Bloomberg, John Hickenlooper, George Soros, Andrew Cuomo, Dianne Feinstein, Barry Obama and their ilk.

They're getting exactly what they wanted. Yee represents some of he most liberal areas in the nation: western San Fransisco and San Mateo county. He was described as Senator Leland Yee (LGBT). He voted for almost any liberal, socialist, statist or greenie initiative. He was also virulently anti-gun, even more so than his average constituent. He was an expert at projecting concern and understanding. The voters ignored shoplifting and prostitution charges to put him in office. He was such a liberal stalwart that he was being groomed for Secretary of State or Nancy Pelosi's, Diane Feinstein's, or Babs Boxer's positions.

When Yee varied from the party line, it was in support of the Chinese community. He obviously valued his mainland China birth and Chinese ethnicity. His roots led him into the Chinese criminal underground, the Tong gangs. He got into significant debt during a failed run for San Fransisco mayor, threatening future political aspirations. Desperation and greed drove him to brokering arms deals. Amoral hypocrisy allowed him to disarm the populace while arming the drug gangs.

Unfortunately, he's more typical than not.
