Got to hold one of the glock 42's at the local shop. Nice and thin--but probably not my cup of tea. I still carry the ol' gen 3 glock 19--and even got a new storm lake threaded barrel for it. I was able to shoot some demo suppressors and was able to shoot a SWR Octane .45 on the 9mm. Shooting supersonic 115 gr factory ammo, I was able to shoot without hearing protection. Very nice--I will probably end up buying one!

As a side note, I was wondering how many glock 20 owners do we have around here?

A Gen 2 G20, bone stock. Haven't put a lot of rounds through it - but it's a fun, accurate, and LOUD gun. If I ever go hunting, hiking or use some other excuse to go #### in the woods, it'll be on my hip.

Glock 20?  I own one.  Love it to death.  Enjoying handloading for it, and I use a Lone Wolf 40 conversion barrel to shoot it in IDPA using cheap and plentiful 40 brass.  I just got some Dawson Precision adjustable sights with a fiber optic front sight, a NY1 spring with 3.5# connector, with a stainless steel guide rod and a 22 pound recoil spring, all of which I plan on installing very soon.

I think everyone should own a Glock 20.  Underwood Ammo makes a 165 grain Gold Dot scream out the barrel at 1400 fps, and some denim/gel tests I've seen show, as I recall, 12 - 13 inches of penetration and close to 0.9 inch expansion.

To say I am an enthusiast would be a bit of an understatement.

I recently bought a lone wolf 40 conversion barrel for mine too, but have only put about a box of ammo through it. I have a 5 gal bucket half full of .40 brass--so it only made sense. Anybody have a good way of sorting 10mm from .40 brass?

My preferred method for sorting brass like this is, first, wait for a time when I have to sit down with my wife in front of the TV when some crappy love story type movie is on. Next, I sort through them individually, case by case. I take my sweet sweet time doing so. Might have a whiskey or two while I do it. Hopefully, the crappy movie is over about the same time I've sorted through all the brass. If not, I might start polishing some shoes, maybe polish up a stainless revolver, etc.

BTW, Dev; took your advice and bought the Pachmayr Trophy grips for the Super Blackhawk. They do tame that monster and save the middle finger from getting abused by that damnable square trigger guard. Even with ful house 44 mag loads.

Corn - just went to the range with a couple cop friends of mine. One carries the G19. But he tried and really liked my Shield and will be getting one, on the basis that it is more concealable. With the thin profile and small size it won't print that same way. He liked the trigger and found the gun easy to shoot, without a lot of recoil. He is also contemplating the 10-8 sights, which I don't have on mine yet (they are out of stock). But he liked the way my 226 shot. I have turned the rear sight around so all you see is black. Now you get a white dot on the front and an opening in the rear (which is widened some).

The shield is a nicely sized gun. My wife got one on our anniversary last year and enjoys shooting it. She is a decent shot with it too. Have you done anything to your trigger?

Nothing. It is box-stock. It passed the test for whatever problem the triggers were having. It isn't a 1911 trigger but is surprisingly good.
