A friend and I have been planning an outdoor night shoot for quite a while--I think since winter. We rigged up various steel targets (about 8-9) at various ranges from about handgun range out to about 200. We then rigged up a large battery to a small control panel that my friend built and ran wires out to each target. At each target we had some cheapy led flashlights mounted on the ground in front of the targets. By pushing a button, you could light up one or several targets. Although it took a little bit of time to set it all up, we ended up shooting from about 10pm until 2am. We also had lasers and flashlights to test/practice with. My friend brought his green lasers which we used to light up water filled milk jugs. If you shined the green laser on the milk jug, the whole jug would glow bright green. It was pretty cool and blast! Speaking of blast, ever seen a .45-70 or 500 magnum in the dark? A few pics for you:
