Greetings from the Great White North

Hey y'all,

Just wanted to put out that awkward, quick hello. I'm from Alaska, and have the firearms affliction in a strong way. I'm also prone to cabin fever, during the long winters. For example, I'm currently considering the wisdom of a .25 ACP Thompson Contender barrel, or an integrally suppressed in line muzzle loader. I've very little time in any other firearms related forums, just stumbled here in a Google Revolver search of some kind, and long been a fan of the podcast.

I look forward to learning lots, and hope to even say something valuable every now and then.

From whence does your screen-name spring? Some allusion to decimate?

I'm a long time fan of the podcast. I truly enjoy the down to earth, humorous, yet sensible balance brought about by those gentlemen.

The moniker....heh...well...that's a long, odd, and likely boring story...

I work remote oilfields for a living, and in my off time around camp was reading "Enemy At The Gates" I had just finished the chapter where things were not going the way Mother Russia would have hoped in Stalingrad. As a "motivational incentive", several officers lined up their troops, went down the line and executed every tenth man in the line.

In the oilfields...there is never, ever a time that something is not going wrong, and someone is not looking for someone else to place blame upon. I took a look around, took out the label maker and pasted the forementioned moniker on the front of my hard hat. It's kinda my humorous, but subtle way of saying "My work is tight, you want to point a finger at somebody, I ain't the one" Since then, it just kinda stuck with me, even though only my closest friends (And now you guys) get the meaning behind it.
