Ruger American Rifle Predator in .223... That uses AR-15 Mags

Ruger did it again!

They just announced an American Predator bolt action in .223 that will take AR-15 mags. This combines a very accurate bolt gun, with a caliber I have too much of, using magazines I have too many of.

Well, Hells... I didn't need to retire.

This would be a cool platform! Nice, accurate bolt-action rifle that takes AR mags.

Changed my thinkin' a bit. Same rifle - in .308. Using AR-10 mags. Cool Beans.

Wuuff, that's pricey.

I do have an AR-10, the Savage MSR-10 Long Ranger. In fact, she just got a nice 2.5x10 Vortex mounted. Now, if I could just get work to dial it back to 'leven.... I could get it to the range.

.308 in 1:10. Kind of wish it was 1:13, but people don't seem to make that as a standard. You wind up having to buy that from a custom barrel maker.
